The Earth is made up of more than 70% water. What makes water important is the fact that all living, breathing organism in this planet requires water as part of their main survival needs to hydrate themselves. For humans, water plays a critical part in many bodily function. Do you know that our blood consist of 92% water, whereas, human muscles and brain are made out of 75% water. Some functions carried out by water in the human body includes, to help our body flush impurities, regulate temperature, convert food to energy and absorb nutrients.
WHAT IS R.O WATER ?
Reverse osmosis (RO) is a membrane-technology filtration method that removes many types of large molecules and ions from solutions by applying pressure to the solution when it is on one side of a selective membrane. The result is that the solute is retained on the pressurized side of the membrane and the pure solvent is allowed to pass to the other side. To be "selective," this membrane should not allow large molecules or ions through the pores (holes), but should allow smaller components of the solution (such as the solvent) to pass freely.
The water is exerted under very high pressure through our R O machines, which contain semi-permeable membranes. This is no trifling matter, as water has to make its way through not only one or two, but seven semi-permeable membranes. As passing through each stage, the water goes from merely adequate, to clean, and finally arrives at approaching perfection. All manner of waterborne pollutants present in tiny amounts barely detectable even to the aided eye have been done away with.

HOW MUCH WATER SHOULD U DRINK PER DAY ?
Physicians recommend at least 8 glasses of water per day. But If you work out or if you drink caffeinated beverages, that number can increase by 4 to 8 more glasses. Strange as it seems, your body becomes dehydrated before you get thirsty. It is best to drink water throughout the day to stay ahead of dehydration. On the other hand, Increased water consumption aids in losing weight and may help prevent dry skin and wrinkles.
Many reef aquariums keepers use reverse osmosis systems for their artificial mixture of seawater. Ordinary tap water can often contain excessive chlorine, chloramines, copper, nitrogen, phosphates, silicates, or many other chemicals detrimental to the sensitive organisms in a reef environment. Contaminants such as nitrogen compounds and phosphates can lead to excessive, and unwanted, algae growth. An effective combination of both reverse osmosis and deionization (RO/DI) is the most popular among reef aquarium keepers, and is preferred above other water purification processes due to the low cost of ownership and minimal operating costs. Where chlorine and chlpramines are found in the water, carbon filtration is needed before the membrane, as the common residential membrane used by reef keepers does not cope with these compounds.
